@frankhavemercy has a dark, ominous aura about him. Not only does he cover his face in photoshoots, info about him online is almost non-existence. Small bread-crumbs of detail underwrites his secret life, extending through his brand and creative pursuits. His photographic imagery is characterised by his ability to portray the gloomy, grim and/or somber – living in an urban jungle and surrounded by a constructed environment, it’s no surprise that this acts as a significant aspect of how he expresses his creativity. @frankhavemercy has us hooked and we love everything he stands for.

We first met Frank Jackson III in NYC and initial impressions conflicted his art – we were immediately struck by how genuine, courteous and full of life he was in person – not like his sombre creative existence at all. After getting to know him over many months, we soon understood that this is an artist with immense thoughtfulness and soul, someone who can repatriate himself selflessly to curate a mood and time for others. Since meeting, Frank has become an invaluable member of the ZANEROBE family – his creativeness, loyalty and willing nature has seen him shoot two editorials with us – one featuring @lasayehommes and the more recent with @elixowens – both masterful, thoughtful tributes to their respective collections, Fracture and Solar. Without giving away all of his dark allure, we fired over a few questions to see if he’d play ball and break character.
